The "MacBeth" Building. A magnificent orange brick Italianate built in 1875, easily one of the oldest, if not THE, no, seriously, THE oldest, standing SMALL apartment building in Allen County. Premier historic 2 bedroom lower in West Central. Ridiculously tall ceilings, Are they 12 feet tall? We don't know, haven't measured, but seriously, just stupid tall. 145 year old oak flooring throughout. Large living room. Decorative only, ornate fireplace. Seriously, look at the pictures, what a cool fireplace!. It was a coal burner, so don't even think of using it for anything more than candles, and even then, be a decent human and put down something to catch the candle wax. (Channels inner Yoda) Seriously, decent human you will be.... Den/Bedroom is 12x11, off the front of the building and has great natural light. If you aren't a vampire, it is a great bedroom. If you are a vampire, there is way too much natural light. Run screaming. HUGE, 2 story centralized walk in closet, it is the only closet in the space. It was built before our time by carving out part of the living room. The Macbeth is so old, it was built without closets. Ask Mike about why super old homes where built without closets if you are also an old house nerd. Just give him 3-4 minutes to tell you the story. If you are not an old house nerd, don't ask Mike, he will go off on a soliloquy about old houses that you won't care about. Mike is a quintessential old house nerd. Anyway, it is a Cool story Bro.... Smaller dinette and kitchen, that open into each other, creating a good sized space. (You want a bar height table to treat as extra work space, and the "Kitchen" becomes Huge). Just have the bar height table to expand the kitchen working space. As always with historic spaces, you have to have a soul and vision. This is likely not the correct kitchen space for a cookie cutter, soulless, suburban thinker. We don't blame you.... We actually blame your parents. Claw foot tub with a shower ring in the bathroom. Back bedroom is 10x13 with great light and huge ceilings. Again, Vampires need not apply. Off street parking for 1 car. As a TOTALLY huge feature, this space has interior basement access to laundry on property. You don't have to go outside for laundry in West Central in a unit under a grand? Unheard of!
